New Year’s Day parkrun at 10:30am

We can confirm that UCp will once again be running at 10:30am on New Year's Day - 1st January 2020.

This will enable you to do a NYD double if you wish.  As usual, our closest neighbouring parkrun, Black Park parkrun will start at 9am.

Please note that we will not have a run on Christmas Day.

New Year’s Day parkrun (or two)

Do you fancy a New Year's Day parkrun or two to burn off the extra Christmas calories, clear the groggy New Year's Eve head, and generally start 2018 with a bang?

Well, you will glad to hear that once again you will be able to run a parkrun double locally on New Year's Day. Black Park will be setting off at 9am, and we at Upton Court will start at 10:30am, meaning you can run the double.

Since this event is always very busy, we ask you to park in the large free car park on Upton Court Road, next to Long Close School - Satnav SL3 7LU. There is very limited parking at the Rugby Club.

We also need a lot of volunteers. Please consider putting your name down to volunteer, or encourage non-running family members to volunteer.

We will not be holding a Christmas Day parkrun.

The parkruns on Saturdays 23rd and 30th will take place as normal.

Christmas in Upton Court Park

Your friendly, neighbourhood parkrun will be operating as usual on 21st and 28th December. In face, we'll be trying to dish out a little of the festive spirit on the 21st so bring your Santa hats and tinsel. Hopefully we'll have some mince pies and treats too.

There will not be a run on Christmas Day. Anyone looking to do a Christmas Day parkrun should search here:

Derek would like to put on a New Year's Day parkrun to offer a double run with Black Park. Their run starts at 9:30 so we would look to put on an event at 10:30. If you are interested in running or helping out, please let us know either by email or through the facebook page. The sooner we are able to gauge interest, the sooner we'll be able to make a decision.
