Ury Riverside parkrun
Event number 10
11th January 2020
This week 233 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 110 were first timers and 42 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 26 different clubs took part.
The event was made possible by 14 volunteers:
June BUCHAN • Nik ROBINSON • Allan CAMPBELL • Alistair SIMPSON • Andrew KNOWLES • Paul DOUGLAS • Samantha FINLAYSON • Jo WHYTE • Sonya LEDFORD • Alan COULL • Gayle CARLE • Cara HAY • Gail MORRISON • Kyle LEDFORD
Cara HAY was RD for the first time and welcomed everyone with the following poem -
Once the was a plodder who volunteered on the side
She got asked to be RD at Ury Riverside
She welcomed the crowds, the tourists and first timers
To her home parkrun in which she takes pride
She reminded the doggies to keep owners quite near
1 owner per doggie – the rules are quite clear
Under 11’s – the same rules apply
Keep your adults in check and make sure they’re nearby
She told runners to respect all using the route
Keep to the right and nae messing aboot
Her last parting message is one which is clear
A big thank you to all who volunteer
So good luck and enjoy, from all at Ury Riverside
This RD will probably no longer get to hide
And when the run is over and done
Inverurie Garden Centre provides a warm welcome to everyone.
The poem was well received and today's full results and a complete event history can be found on the Ury Riverside parkrun Results Page.
