New Years Day Valley parkrun 2022

We plan to host our traditional New Years Day Valley parkrun to start 2022 off on the right foot.

As always the core team and volunteers have supported us in our endeavours but if you can help out please let us know.  There are still roles to fill.

There is no opportunity to do a New Years Day double any longer so you only get one parkrun on the 1st January now ..... why not make it at the Valley.

We start promptly at 09:30 so be there sharpish.

Christmas Day Valley parkrun 2021

We plan to host our traditional Valley parkrun on Christmas day, fancy dress is optional.  Many thanks to our wonderful core team and terrific volunteers for stepping up as usual (especially Tracey Graham + family who have really stepped up).  Please let us know if you can help as it has been more difficult this year to comply with the regulations.

We need more marshals and barcode scanners than usual, we also need someone to check the course before we start and help with tailwalking etc. so you can help and run if you're smart!!

Frances Kane is our RD on Christmas morning and we plan to start promptly at 09:30 so please be there in good time.

Obviously we will review this closer to the time but our declaration is to run on Christmas morning.

New Year’s Day Valley parkrun 2020

We will be having a New Year's Day parkrun at the Valley parkrun this year at our normal early slot 09:30 to coordinate with other local parkruns such as the Waterworks parkrun who are running at the later time 11:00.  Why not double up this New Year's Day and get the new year off to the best possible start - please get between runs in a responsible fashion.

Christmas Day Valley parkrun 2019

We will be running at the Valley parkrun on Christmas Day as normal 09:30 start - many thanks to the Run Director Frances Kane and all those who stepped forward to volunteer.

New Year 2018 parkrun at the Valley.

Good news - you can double up again on New Years Day as we are going at normal time (9.30am) and the Waterworks parkrun is planning to start at 11am.

Please don't take any risks whilst travelling between parkruns on New Years morning.

See you then - Stephen B

Christmas 2017 parkrun at the Valley

Please note that we have managed to find enough volunteers who are willing to give up a bit of their time of Christmas Day to organise the Valley parkrun on Christmas morning. Usual start time 9.30am.

Sorry the run report is a bit late this week .... I honestly do not know where the week goes. The only good thing about it is that tomorrow is parkrun day already.

Something a little different this week inspired by two parkrun facebook friends (David Ferris & Martyne Girvan) who started a conversation last week about songs that make them happy. Using that theme I have attached a link below loosely related to parkrun...........Enjoy! See you all tomorrow morning bright and early.
