Event 165 – 9th July 2016

Well, I think we can all agree that the weather was having a laugh again this morning. Apparently it's July...
Nevertheless, spirits were certainly not dampened as 128 runners, of whom 18 were first timers and 26 recorded new personal bests. Representatives of 12 different athletics clubs took part.
As we've already mentioned Eamon reached his century of parkruns this morning, but such an achievement is worth mentioning again!
Our new chair, kindly donated by Team Kerr last week, also made its parkrun debut. We all look forward to seeing it zoom around our course in future.

Report Event # 11

Great turnout and a new attendance record. Sun shone and people came to get the bank holiday off to a great start. Our sweatshop athlete for April was wearing her new shoes courtesy of Sweatshops with new socks thrown in. Health to wear Liz you deserve them. Great to see walkers kids and a few well behaved canine friends. Our final figure was 106 finisher so well done everyone. Finally a big thank you as always to our volunteers without whom there would be no event. See you all next week

Run Report Event # 5

It actually felt like spring may have arrived at Wallace Park this morning. We had 74 finishers including families with children, walkers and dogs. Everyone is welcome and we hope you all had an enjoyable morning. Finishing order in the mens was Peter McCluskey, Adam Kirk Smith and Richard Coey. In the womans placings we had Kelly McCabe, Claire Burns and regular volunteer Beverly Reid third home. We had 37 first timers and 19 pb's today which is excellent. Keep it up and hope to see you all next week.
