Walmer and Deal Seafront parkrun no 52

Thank you to everyone who ran this morning.

Well done to all our first timers this morning and also our tourists who came from Great Lines, Folkestone, Riddlesdown, Cranleigh, Halifax, Tooting Common, Nonsuch, Rushmoor, Ashton Court, and Bushy parkruns - phew!

Congratulations to Debbie and Steven for running their 50th too.

Thanks to our fantastic marshals especially this week for coping with manoeuvres of the trucks form the food fayre moving about on our route just as the run was starting.

Please let us know via our email - address on the home page or via our facebook page if you are free to come and volunteer next week.

Saturday 21st September is when we are celebrating our 1st Birthday. We cannot wait to celebrate with everyone. If you'd like to bring cake to share on the day, we will be very happy. We are having a theme and after the past week, it now seems very fitting. Our theme is Carry On parkrunning. If you are familiar with the Carry On films, then we are sure you will think of a great costume to wear on the 21st. If you aren't familiar with them, then we suggest you have a chat to Mum, Dad, Nanny or Grandad for some ideas. We will, of course, not be a naughty as the old films, times have changed, but we will have a nod to our lovely Barbara Windsor with a warm up before the run. No bikinis to be warn please! Also, it's a timely reminder with Barbara in mind to thank one of our parkrun supporters Alzheimer's Research UK. So let's make it a fun morning!

See you all soon!!
