The Day the Baton joined us…

Another great running day on the beautiful Kent coast of Walmer and Deal was complemented by 189 worthy guys and gals celebrating parkrun's 15th birthday. In honour of that we were privileged to have in our possession one of only 15 celebratory gold parkrun batons in the world, these batons are installed with GPS and it certainly knew it's been here. Lots of photos were taken with throughout the morning. We had birthdays, (Lucy, 13), we had milestones (Molly, 10 runs), we had lots of tourists, some coming from as far a field as London, Yorkshire, Cornwall and would you believe it South Africa. A very big thank you to the volunteers, first timers, tourists, PBers and our regular runners that took part, to help make our 56th event another roaring success and keep WaDS parkrun going from strength to strength. See you soon.

Keep on running, Dave.
