A great couple of runs at Wanstead Flats to start the year. New Year's Day saw 85 ish runners [some of whom then went for the double at Valentines] and just under 70 runners for the first official/regular run of 2015. All now nice and muddy the way you like it.

Our 200th run is fast approaching! Ideas for how to make it special/different encouraged.

parkrun has a new t-shirt sponsor and there is therefore a new club for helpers. 25 volunteer stints will get you a top. Who will be the first WFlater to get a 50 runs and 25 volunteers t-shirt?

India Emery was voted the recipient of the shoes prize for December.

We are still looking for helpers for the second half of January.

Wishing you all a successful, safe and enjoyable 2015.

Paul Lewis [Event Director] and the core team, Tony, Don, Liz, and Barbara.

New Year 2015

Might seem like a fair way away still but ...

We will be staging a New Year's Day 'extra' parkrun on Jan 1st at Wanstead Flats.

You then have the option of 'doing the double' with the event at 10am at Valentine's Park

Festive cheer

On 21st December we will be having our parkrun as usual but it is suggested that it is also an Xmas fancy dress event [for any that care to].

On Christmas Day, we will be holding an extra parkrun event at 9am and the course will be run in reverse. A week later there will be an extra New Year's day event at 9am which will also be run in reverse. There is also a New Year's day Valentines parkrun held at 10am so runners could take part in both events!

Of course the extra parkruns will need some volunteers, so please get in touch asap if you are willing to help. The special parkruns will be held in addition to the regular Saturday morning parkruns, which will all be taking place as usual.

Small print:
The two extra parkruns will count towards the 10, 50, 100, and 250 club t-shirts. These extra runs will also count towards the annual points competition!
