Lost and Found…. and Lost

Before we start! Please remember there is no parkrun this Saturday 21st September!

Saturday's parkrun saw a wonderful turnout of parkrunners and volunteers, we were even joined by Wetherby firefighters (you may have noticed their fire engine waiting for them in the car park!)
Part of our extended parkrun 'family' is Melissa, who serves us teas, coffees, bacon butties and crumpets in Wetherby Sports Association. Melissa will be heading off to university in the next week or so and she will be missed, we wish her well.
The change in season brings a change in clothes. After much searching we located a lost hoodie from last week, but two more were misplaced on Saturday. I have one in my car for a Wetherby Runner, but I hope we can return a New Zealand triathlon jacket to its rightful owner.

Finally! A huge thank you to Helen who helped set up our course on Saturday morning and Luna who carried her ball around the entire course whilst tail walking with her owner. Our volunteers make every Saturday morning special and it was wonderful to see so many Duke of Edinburgh volunteers and lovely Tilly who brings so much energy and enthusiasm to parkrun.
Luna is still holding her ball!

This week 141 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 34 were first timers and 41 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 19 different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by 13 volunteers:

Gillian FOX • Leo KNAPTON • Helen TATE • Suzy WOOD • Jack LOOKER • Angus NICHOLLS • Helen FOREMAN • Tilly FOREMAN • Alex FOREMAN • Eleanor GREENWOOD • Pauline GALLACHER • Christian SOWDEN • Victoria MAGNUS
