Wimpole Estate parkrun: Event number 301 – 26th January 2019

Well better late than never ... I thought I'd best get last week's parkrun report written before we started with this week's run!

We had several folk who were celebrating key runs. No 250s (although we have some coming up!) no 100s (but hopefully several tomorrow) but we did have 2 50s! Well done to Sophia Hodges and Robert King! (selfie board attached!)

So, last Saturday 349 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 38 were first timers and 34 recorded new Personal Bests. Please join us again next week!

The sprint for the cafe and the sausage rolls was lead by Ben Veitch in 19:14; our first female was Tansy Challis who was 4th overall and finished in 19:59. Our fastest male junior was Robbie Andrews (11-14) who was 11th and finished in 20:30 with our fastest female junior being Emily Talbot (11-14) who finished in 21:07. Excellent running by all!

The event was made possible by 27 volunteers; please remember to thank them as you pass them on the course etc. They have given up their run to enable you to have yours. On that note, we've taken a deliberate break from volunteer bingo - but it will return in the morning!

Until then ...

Happy parkrunning,

Debs & James
