There was so much colour this week as we Ran for Rolf that we could have been seen from space! Many thanks to all of you who ran in your brightest colours and volunteer tee-shirts to celebrate Rolf, who passed away earlier this month.
Rolf was our volunteeringest volunteer, with more than 300 credits to his name, 200 of them as timekeeper, usually supported by Alfie and Daisy the labradors. We've started a Celebration Book for anyone who knew him to leave a message, we'll have it there on Saturday if you didn't get chance to sign it last week.
On Saturday we're all invited to Wrangthorn Church for festive coffee, cake and maybe a few carols. It will also be the third of the parkrun takeovers by Leeds Cares, the charity supporting Leeds Teaching Hospitals.
Well done to Hilary Lund and Neil Hall who ran their 250ths. Claire Booth and Stephen Evans ran their 150ths and Ciara Crossan her 100th. Matthew Parkinson ran his 50th. Freddie Craven joined the junior 10 Club.
This week 536 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 43 were first timers and 38 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 49 different clubs took part.
