Record-breaking Christmas Day! Run report 647

We love it when we break records! We had a record-breaking Christmas Day turnout of 408, and tourist Janice Davison set a new age category record of 86.07% with her time of 24.17. There was also record-breaking kindness from those of you who brought flasks of hot water, goodies and mugs so we could all enjoy a post-parkrun cuppa and a record-breaking number of people volunteering. Thank you all!

We even had a few milestones, with our ever shy Event Director Anne Akers running her 300th, Anna Moger her 200th, William Davies his 150th, Nick Baines, Rafet Ongun and Susie Barrett their 100ths, Sally Sabourn and Joanne Dammone their 50ths

Don't forget, we well as Saturday, we're here 9am on January 1, the only day of the year you can run two parkruns.

This week 408 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 17 were first timers and 36 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 38 different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by 23 volunteers:

Chris CUNLIFFE • Frank JONES • Claudia BAUER • Peter James YATES • Laura CUNLIFFE • Helen NOYES • Anne AKERS • Steve BROWN • Deborah BROWN • Curtis PARKER-MILNES • Paul RAMSDEN • John PAPWORTH-SMITH • Jessica MCGRAGHAN • Clement MILNE • Jo RHODES • Pip GOFF • Zeni BELLWOOD • Lorraine CHARLTON • Pritti MEHTA • Howard NAYLOR • Gail CLARK • Louise BOWLES • Simon WELLINGS
