It was a first for everyone who volunteered and ran this week, the first ever leap year parkrun, there won't be another until 2048! We had a few milestones too, with Ken Fox running his 500th, in addition to the 500 or so freedom runs he's done!
Well done to Diane Aykroyd who ran her 450th, Steve O'Hara ran his 450th at Woodhouse Moor, his 497th in total. Amy Small ran her 150th Loreto Aliaga joined the 100 Club. Kirsty Ryan, Danni Bryant, Alan Bewsick and Campbell McNeill all joined the 50 Club. And Josh Drew joined the junior 10 Club with a new PB, well done Josh!
We welcomed the James Burke Foundation, which was founded to commemorate Leeds University student James Burke who sadly took his own life in 2017. The foundation raises awareness of mental health issues. It was also good to see the 5k Your Way Move Against Cancer support group, who join us the last Saturday of each month.
