Week 5 came and went without too many hitches, thank goodness for the secondary timer! :-)
Lets this week look at the points rankings so it doesn't matter what time you cross the line or whether you volunteer (up to 3 times per year) you still get points for getting involved! And we can't confirm absolutely what it is but we are pretty sure that points mean prizes!
So for the women:
Sheila MCVEIGH (Cumberland AC) 498 pts.
Bev FAULDER (Seaton AC) 387 pts.
Joanne COYLE (Unattached) 372 pts.
And for the men:
Shaun CAVANAGH (Cumberland AC) 389 pts.
Gary BYERS (Unattached) 374 pts.
Richard WILLIAMS (Unattached) 350 pts
We have been asked this a couple of times, and just want to be clear that parkrun is for anyone, we do have some quick times on here, it's a good route, and some of the visitors and locals too have asked whether that can come as it's pretty quick when they compare to other parkruns - and of course the answer is yes! It is for anyone who wants to have a go at conqurering this 5km route in what ever time suits, we just want more people to have a go and this is a great way to start running with the support of others who share their passion for it.
