worthing parkrun event #200: 2nd October 2021

It makes me motivated to run faster than I do on my own. . (1080 x 1080 px)

Well done to everyone who braved the elements and joined us to celebrate our 200th worthing parkrun and parkrun’s 17th birthday.

It was great to see 364 people run, jog or walk the course, great to see so many of you in fancy dress. This morning 26 of you were new to Worthing parkrun, and 53 of you recorded new Personal Bests, with 32 different running clubs taking part.

During the week and as a build-up to our special 200th parkrun, we asked how parkrun made you feel.  Here's a sample of some of your comments, thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts.

Sticking with our fantastic volunteer tribe this week. Ben & Sue SWANN will celebrate the 50th time of sorting tokens with worthing parkrun. A fantastic achievement and equates to about 20,000 tokens that they have sorted for worthing parkrun - you guys are amazing.

We like stats here at worthing parkrun HQ, today saw us go over 76,000 finishers at Worthing since we started back in 2016;  I wonder how long it will take us to hit 100,000
