Wyre Forest parkrun

This week was our traditional Halloween themed run where we invited runners to dress up in fancy dress if they wanted to. The volunteers jumped at the chance as usual and looked like a pretty scary bunch! Thanks to Jayne Hill and Gavin Millichip for the photographs in this weeks report.

We need to say Congratulations and "Why did you keep that so quiet?!" to two runners who ran their 5oth parkruns with us this week. Well done to both Rob Reynolds and Gina Biggs. We will catch up with you two next week for photographs!! I'm sure you'll agree that reaching milestones is a sign of massive dedication and commitment so hats off to Gina and Rob.

Paul HOBBS (VM40-44) of Todmorden Harriers & AC, was first over the line in 19:15 - first appearance.
Thomas PALMER (JM15-17) of Kidderminster & Stourport AC, was second over the line in 19:48 - was first to finish once before.
An unknown runner was third.

Emily JAMES (VW35-39) of Wallsend Harriers & AC, was first (17th overall) over the line in 22:33 - third time in 6 appearances.
Libby HAWKSWELL (JW11-14) of Kidderminster & Stourport AC, was second (25th overall) over the line in 23:31 - has been first to finish on 5 previous occasions.
Rowan BAILEY (VW35-39) (Unattached) was third (30th overall) over the line in 23:51.

The following runners recorded the best Age Grade scores:
Joan CLARKE (VW60-64) was graded 78.42% for the time 24:24 (35th overall).
Martin WILLMOTT (VM65-69) was graded 76.26% for the time 22:24 (15th overall).
Terence BEDINGTON (VM65-69) was graded 75.93% for the time 22:30 (16th overall).
This week there were 148 runners, of whom 14 were first timers and 34 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 15 different athletics clubs took part. Wyre Forest parkrun started on 29th August 2015, and since then 2,215 different runners, including participants from 193 athletics clubs, have completed 8,773 runs covering a total distance of 43,865 km, and there have been 2,151 new Personal Bests.
The female record is held by Bryony HAINES who ran in a time of 00:17:54 on 14th May 2016 (event number 38). The male record is held by William RICHARDSON who ran in a time of 00:16:12 on 31st October 2015 (event number 10). The Age Grade course record is held by Bryony HAINES who recorded a 83.61% run (17:54) on 14th May 2016 (event number 38).
