We welcomed lots of tourists as usual but a special 'hello' to Emma BAKER who visited us from Stratford (thanks to Mark REAVES and Alison KING we are getting lots of lovely Stratford parkrunners coming over our way!) and to Jo FRAZER-WISE from Maidstone who was in the area for a wedding. Lovely to meet you both!
parkrunner of the week has to go to our very own Adam SCURRELL who completed his 50th parkrun! Lots of parents will testify to the challenge of getting teenage boys out of bed in the morning so I think Adam deserves extra kudos for reaching this impressive milestone! And he was only 1 second off a PB. Well done from us all at Wyre Forest parkrun.
And we also had the first mention of (cover your eyes and ears) 'Christmas' this week! As little Chloe ASHTON (JW10) got herself a new PB by completing this week's run listening to festive music on her iPod! Well we are in July I suppose! Well done Chloe
Don't forget that we will be celebrating our 100th parkrun at Wyre Forest on July 22nd. Our theme is 'pyjama day' so pop your nightie on (over running kit may be advised?!) and see if you can get a PJ-PB!
See you next week and if you haven't already - DON'T FORGET TO VOLUNTEER!
