We had a few special people with us this week. Firstly congratulations to Joan CLARKE who was running her 101st parkrun. Super quick Joan (our current VW60-64 age category record holder) clocked up her 100th parkrun last week at Perry Hall parkrun but wanted to celebrate with us too (and who can blame her)! Well you can't have to many celebratory parkruns can you?! Well done Joan!
Sasha GUEST ran her 10th parkrun today and so joins the milestone 10 club for junior runners - superb job Sasha!
And we had two runners who completed their 50th parkruns. One we knew about and one that we didn't until I looked at the results afterwards! So well done to Michelle SCURRELL and the rather shy Carl PRICE on your achievements with us! Michelle has run all of her 50 parkruns at Wyre Forest which is lovely and she has volunteered on several occasions too. Carl is also one of our volunteers and has run 45 of his 50 parkruns at Wyre Forest. Great dedication by them both I'm sure you will all agree.
Don't forget that we have our 100th Wyre Forest parkrun in two weeks time - on the 22nd July and we are having a 'pyjama day'! So lets see you all going for your '#PJPB'!
Well done as always to all our runners, walkers, volunteers and supporters and see you all next week for event #99!
