04/11/2017 Wyre Forest parkrun #115 Thank you Andrew!

Wyre Forest parkrun
Event number 115
4th November 2017

This week 212 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 23 were first timers and 41 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 22 different clubs took part.

These awesome people all ran their first ever 5k parkrun!:

We gave Ryan MORGAN a special mention as he is usually volunteering and cheering runners up the hill so it was great to see him run his first ever parkrun at age 6 and come smiling over that finish line. A very lovely moment!

Finally, thank you so much to everyone who donated to our appeal for funds. As RD Andy said on Saturday: parkrun is, and always will be, free to run but the kit and equipment we need for the run is not. We have to buy it from our own donations pot. Much as we hate to ask for money, we cant replace essential kit without donations. So I am incredibly grateful to everyone who donated this weekend - I can't find enough ways to express our gratitude but once again - THANK YOU!!

See you all next week
