Without volunteers there is no parkrun. If you haven't yet given volunteering a go then please contact us and get your name down on our roster. It is easy peasy and lots of fun and you're giving something back so that our regular volunteers can take a week off and run too.

We have two core volunteers that we are celebrating this week - Ade FORD and Lisa GARLICK. Ade and Lisa both completed their 100th parkruns as volunteers this week.

Ade usually does his own parkrun before you all turn up - setting up the course, putting out the signs and checking that we are safe to go ahead. This week he then ran it again (along with everyone else) and got a new PB so congratulations and thank you Ade!

Lisa is most often seen as a very welcoming face at the finish line, as a timekeeper (another job that not many people volunteer for) and has clicked the finishing times of thousands of parkrunners over the last 2 and a bit years.

Without volunteers like these two who turn up in all weathers, I don't think Wyre Forest parkrun would be the welcoming, happy and smooth running parkrun it is. So on behalf of everyone I would like to thank them both for every single second of the time they've given up.

We also had some special parkrunners celebrating milestones. Both Richard SHELDON and Kimberley SCOLARI both completed their 50th parkruns this week. Richard is a regular but we welcomed Kimberley here for the first time (and hopefully not the last!) Well done both of you - great commitment.
