Wyre Forest parkrun
Event number 206
24th August 2019
This week 252 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 52 were first timers and 56 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 28 different clubs took part.
And our run report is written by one of those 252 - the lovely Sandra HOWARD. Thanks Sandra, take it away..
The sun shone for us all as we ran in the beautiful Wyre Forest for the 206th Wyre Forest parkrun. Next week is our fourth Birthday. To celebrate the theme is wear RED. It will be fabulous to see a sea of red though the Forest next week. Especially looking forward to seeing a red dress or two on the course!
A huge thank you to our Run Director this morning and his team of volunteers who make parkrun possible each week.
If it’s not something you have done before give it a go. There are various jobs, some allow you to run and volunteer but we need volunteers to keep parkrun going.
Imogen JONES celebrated her 100th parkrun today with a PB-well done. Well done each runner over the finish line. It doesn’t matter if you were the fastest or one of the slowest - you are a park runner.
We welcomed a few tourists and first timers today to Wyre Forest- hope you liked our course and we see you again.
Thanks again to all you give up their time to allow parkrun to take park each week, especially those well past their 25 volunteer badge.
See you next week dressed in red.

Congratulations also to juniors Griff G and Harrison GWILLIAM who both ran their 10th parkruns with us today! Well done boys.
As Sandra said - next week is our 4th Birthday!! Where did that go?? The theme is a nice simple 'red' theme. So pop something red on instead of (or alongside) your usual parkrun kit and don't forget to bring cake if you can!!
