This week we saw our attendance record smashed with a phenomenal 339 of you crossing the finish line at the top of Cardiac Hill! Thanks to all who joined us on this record breaking morning.

This week there were two unofficial milestones, but only one person. David STARKIE ran his 150th parkrun, and volunteered for his 50th time at Wyre Forest parkrun. Congratulation David on both of those milestones.

We were also joined by well-known parkrunner and social media celebrity - Imran ALI -famous for his selfies and smile!

So, as we said earlier, this week a record breaking 339 people ran, jogged and walked the course! o40 were first timers and 48 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 24 different clubs took part.

There were plenty of parkrunners out today, perhaps trying to run off some of the excesses of the season. Though the course was still wet after the rain of recent weeks the day dawned fine helping us to our second highest attendance of 313 runners.

The numbers were boosted by visitors from Manchester, Swindon, Dudley, Worcester, Froome, Abingdon, Witney, London and Perth Australia.

There were a few milestones achieved this week, congratulations to all:

  • 50 parkruns - Charity STRANGE
  • 100 parkruns - Steph GOODE and Darren NEAL

I believe there could have been another but for a forgotten barcode- Don't forget your barcode.

The run this weekend finished off the year nicely and we wish you all a happy New Year with plenty of parkrunning to come.

21/12/2019 Wyre Forest parkrun: It’s the most ‘run’derful time of the year!

This week 209 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 11 were first timers and 21 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 25 different clubs took part.

We saw several Santas, reindeer and Christmas jumpers and one very impressive Grinch!
