In an incident packed week…

Quieter week this week at Yeovil Montacute – just the 507 of you finishing (bear in mind that our record prior to the start of 2020 was 494!).

We did have a couple of incidents this week (I hope that both of you are ok – can you please e-mail us at to let us know how you are getting on?) – many, many thanks to all of the marshals who helped out on Saturday but particularly Howard Bailey and Sarah Quarterman, and for the runners who stopped and helped. (If you think there's not many photos this week, that's because the Run Director had to go and see the ambulance.. more photographers always welcomed!)

This week 507 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 22 were first time park runners, 33 tourists and 78 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 33 different clubs took part.

Love this view .. it's right up there with watching runners down the full length of the Avenue at Monty!

How are the New Year’s Resolutions going? If you intended to volunteer at parkrun, we still have a few places left on the Roster for 18th Saturday but lots for the following weeks (my New Year’s Resolution hasn’t really started .. you might even have the pleasure of me joining you running next week (want to get my 50 by the end of the year!)).
